VERO BEACH, FL - Mrs. Willie Joe (Billie) Leeder, age 96, of Vero Beach, formerly of Savannah, GA, died peacefully November 2, 2014 at the Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
Mrs. Leeder was born in Savannah, GA on April 17, 1918 and was the daughter of Joseph and Annie Jones. She was married to her late husband of 51 years, Henry “Tex” Leeder. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Our Mom was the mother everyone wanted to have. Her smile lit up the room and her laugh was contagious. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved discussing politics as a lifelong Republican. She really enjoyed cooking for others, traveling with family and friends, and shopping with whomever as long as they could keep up with her. Up until last year, she had a passion for dancing and her favorite was fast dancing and the Jitterbug. She will be missed but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Nan, Kathleen, and brother Ralph Jones. Mrs. Leeder is survived by her children, Paul Leeder of Sylvania, GA (Margie); Richard Leeder of Columbia, SC (Gwendolyn); Marlene Riceberg of Beverly Hills, CA (Edward); Wayne Leeder of Chantilly, VA (Sally); Sharon Kendall of Vero Beach, FL (Jim); and Kenny Leeder of Denton, TX (Joyce); grandchildren, Bernette, Robyn, Teresa, Rick, Tina, Tammy, Tara, Dan, Jason, Ryan, Amber, Tim, Joy, Becky Ranes, Ben Raynes, Ben Nicely, Zan Nicely, Larry, Lari, Leah, and Henry; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sage, Jacob, Jackson, Claire, Sarah, Rebekah, James, Ryan, Robert, Gavin, Regina , Jenessa, Josh, Heath, Haley, Erica, David, Andrew, and Katarina; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Sharon and Jim and Family, our thoughts are with you. Billie was one of a kind. She was a classy woman with the heart of a fun loving girl. On top of that she had some of the best stories I have ever heard. I enjoyed her every time we met. Dad wanted me to respond here so you would know he is thinking of you and feeling the loss for you as well. Much love, JoAnn and Paul.
